Anyway, I adored august rush. It started out a tad cheesy, but I'm a sucker for that, but it got better anyway later on. Beautifully shot, the way they played with the really warm tones whenever music (visually) came into the equation was nothing short of brilliant. and of course the sounds accompanied exceptionally. it made me love music just that much more. watching highmoar's face thrill into that beautiful smile as the strings reached an ecstatic crescendo was absolutely wonderful.

I noticed he didn't say very much though, and he had this odd accent that was neither here nor there. but regardless every emotion comes out on his face. that boy is going places. but the young talent in this movie is really astounding, like the young girl who sang. she's better than half the adult singers I know.

p.s. I loved his way of playing the guitar. It made me cry just a little bit and feel hopelessly inadequate.
